Counting the days between two dates
Enter a start date and an end date and this calculator counts the exact number of days between them. By default it counts the gap, or "difference", between the two days. Tick Include the end date if you want the final day counted as well — useful when you are counting the total span of an event or booking.
Years, months and weeks
The years / months / days breakdown expresses the same duration the way a calendar does, so a gap might read as "1 year, 2 months and 5 days". The weeks figure simply divides the total days by seven. Together they give you both the human-readable and the precise view of the same period.
Business days
The weekday count includes only Monday to Friday, skipping every Saturday and Sunday in the range. It does not account for public holidays, which vary by country. To move forward or backward from a single date instead, use the date calculator.
